This month, Cancer Commons earned the 2020 Platinum Seal of Transparency from GuideStar, a database that helps the public evaluate the performance of all nonprofits in the U.S. The Platinum Seal of Transparency is the highest level of recognition offered by GuideStar.
To reach the Platinum level, Cancer Commons added extensive information to our profile on GuideStar: basic contact and organizational information; in-depth financial information; qualitative information about goals, strategies, and capabilities; and quantitative information about results and progress toward our mission.
By sharing meaningful metrics that highlight our progress, we demonstrate our commitment to transparency. We can now easily share a wealth of up-to-date organizational metrics with our supporters, including donors, grantmakers, our peers, and the media—all in support of our mission to help patients find and access their best-possible cancer treatment options.
