Michael Kramer spent nearly 20 years as an Emmy-nominated composer for film and television, crafting scores that tell powerful stories. After losing his son, Theo, to brain cancer, Michael now focuses on leveraging AI and technology to improve outcomes for cancer patients. At Cancer Commons, he combines his creative and technical expertise to identify, evaluate, and develop innovative tools that address complex challenges in oncology care.
Outside of his role at Cancer Commons, Michael is developing TheOrator, an AI-powered communication app designed to empower nonverbal individuals, and co-producing Worst Club Ever, a podcast hosted by his wife that explores the raw realities of child loss. His work is guided by a deep commitment to honoring Theo’s memory and helping others facing similar struggles.
